Leiden University was founded in 1575. It is a fully accredited, classical university at which over 20,000 students are enrolled. Leiden itself is a charming town with ancient buildings and picturesque canals. The International Tax Center Leiden is located in the historic old center.
The Adv LLM Program in International Tax Law and the Adv LLM Program in EU Tax Law of the University of Leiden have their homes in the building of the International Tax Center Leiden (a former mansion at the Rapenburg canal). The ITC Leiden also operates in adjacent buildings with rooms and studios (all with private bath rooms) for its Adv LLM students.
The ITC Leiden is led by its Chairman and Director Prof. dr. Kees van Raad and its Deputy Director Prof. dr. Sjoerd Douma. Other Board Members are Prof. dr. Tanja Bender and Prof. dr. Frank Engelen. All Board Members are professors at the Department of Tax Law of Leiden Law School, led by Prof. dr. Allard Lubbers, Prof. dr. Koos Boer and Prof. dr. Henk Vording.
