AKI Fine Art

De AKI is de kleinste academie van Nederland, gevormd in de jaren zestig en tot de dag van vandaag schatplichtig aan de uitgangspunten van toen: individueel onderwijs, zo weinig mogelijk bepaald door structuren of controlesystemen, zo veel mogelijk gericht op de menselijke maat en op het eigen initiatief van studenten en docenten. De AKI is onderdeel van ArtEZ Hogeschool, maar we hechten zeer aan onze autonomie als klein-schalige academie. Onderwijs wordt gemaakt op de werkvloer.

The AKI is the smallest academy in the Netherlands, established in the 1960s and still dedicated to its founding principles: providing an individualised education with a minimum of structures and control systems and focused, instead, on the human dimension and students' and instructors' own initiatives. AKI is part of the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, but it also greatly values its autonomy as a small academy. Education is created on the work floor.
